Northern Cape

The Northern Cape is the largest province in South Africa. The Northern Cape Province is rich in minerals. South Africa’s largest diamond pipes are found in the Kimberly district. Northern Cape accounts for 24% manganese exports, 13% Zinc exports and 7% diamond exports globally. The Northern Province is a major producer or iron ore. Other metals and minerals found in the province include copper, gypsum, rose quartz, limestone, mica, tiger’s eye, verdite and other semi-precious stones.
