Our client is currently involved in constructing one of the biggest open-pit mines in South Africa.

Responsibilities:
With sound mine survey experience, the Surveyor, will be responsible for maintaining and updating mine site map, survey stake outs for the mine works.
Monitor, coordinate and manage the field surveying Program in liaison with the Geological & Mining Contractor.
Investigate and design effective / appropriate identified needs
Comply with Risk Policies, practices and procedures.
Compile and administer document quality and reliability of all work plans generated.
Supervise and train personnel in related disciplines

Requirements:
Bsc Degree / Diploma in Mine Surveying
Minimum 7 years post graduate experience in a similar position and work environment
Minimum 5 years experience in Open pit mining operation environment
Extensive design skills
Calculation and analytical skills
Familiar with the use of GPS systems and other electronic survey instruments and packages.
Experience in Risk (SHE) Policies and Procedures
Full Computer literacy (MS Office, Surveying Packages (Mining)
Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Contractual information:
3 year contract
Relocation to the Northern Cape will be necessary
ZAR CTC market related salary
Start date: immediately
